By now you’ve probably heard of the trending social media app, Clubhouse App. The app was exclusive to IOS and invite-only members but has since opened up to Android users and you don’t need an invitation to join. I probably would not have known much about it except for having received an invitation on February 14th, 2021, when the app was exclusive to IOS and invite-only members.
As host of the SBP Podcast Mobile Filmmaking, it was a natural progression for engaging with an audio-only platform.
I don’t record the events to add them to our podcast. We have an established podcast. The Voice of Mobile Film™ was launched in 2017, is an audio podcast available in Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, iHeart Radio, and the most popular pod players. Our podcast is also listed on IMDb.
I use Clubhouse to reach out and interact and because I am naturally social and love engaging people in conversation. I have been communicating with humans around the world for many years.

The first event we hosted in Clubhouse App: Storytelling with Smartphone Video
February 26 @ 11AM (PST) – A passionate conversation about the empowered storyteller using smartphone cameras to widen the reach and impact of their stories through film and video.
I created the Mobile Film Stories Club for the Mobile Film Stories platform, which I will be hosting, to help spread the word and inspire more people to take advantage of the first streaming service for films and videos shot with smartphone cameras. There is no plan to record these events in the Clubhouse App. Join the club!
“Fade In: The Story in Film“
Events by Mobile Film Stories Club: Sundays @ 1pm (Pacific Time).
Join Mobile Film Stories and join us for a fun and in-depth talk on how to connect stories in film with viewers using the power of smartphone cameras!
Join or follow our club: Mobile Film Stories
We held the first intro event Sunday, March 21, 2021 and plan to continue them on Sundays. I grouped a few people together and after a few introductions I led the conversation into how storytellers can empower their stories in their films using the Confusion and Curiosity tricks which many filmmakers use in their storytelling strategy for film.
